BJP central leadership changed the state president of Bihar.
Patna July 26: The BJP central leadership has made a significant change in Bihar by appointing Dilip Jaiswal as the new state president.
This decision was communicated through a letter issued from the office of Arun Singh, the national general secretary and BJP headquarters in-charge dated July 25, 2024.
BJP central Leadership appointed Dilip Jaiswal: He is from the Bania community, a core voter base for BJP in Bihar. He has a strong influence in the Seemanchal region.
Dilip Jaiswal is appointed as the new state president of Bihar following the direction of the party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.
He is a member of the Bihar legislative council and minister of land reforms and revenue in the Nitish Kumar government.
Dilip Jaiswal replaces Samrat Choudhary: He has replaced Samrat Choudhary who was appointed as a state president of BJP on March 23, 2023. At that time, the BJP was in the opposition in Bihar and the Grand Alliance government was ruling the state.
BJP central leadership wants to return to the core vote bank: Sources have said that such an appointment was made after the party’s below performance in the Lok Sabha. BJP won 17 seats in Lok Sabha in 2019 but this time in 2024, the party has won only 12 seats. This move is seen as an effort to reconnect with the party’s core voter base.
