Patna July 29: BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal took over the charge in Patna on Monday.
Dilip Jaiswal, who is known as a dedicated worker of the party at a grassroots level, was appointed as a BJP state president of Bihar on July 25.

After his appointment, he traveled to New Delhi to meet the central leaders of the party including PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and others. He returned to Patna on Monday.
The BJP leaders and supporters gathered at Patna airport since morning. They welcomed him in grand style. Senior leaders like former state president and deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, Prem Kumar, Neeraj Kumar Bablu and others were present at the airport.
Upon arriving at Patna airport, Dilip Jaiswal traveled to the BJP office located at Veerchand Patel Path in an open jeep. The BJP supporters were present at several intersections along the route of 5 kilometers, welcoming him with garlands.
Samrat Choudhary, the deputy chief minister of Bihar said: “BJP is a party where every booth-level worker is important for us. The party entrusted me with the big responsibility of state president in the past and when the government was changed, the party made me the deputy chief minister of Bihar. I want to assure the new state president that we are with you and that the support of the state government is also with you. I am fully confident that Dilip Jaiswal will elevate the BJP to a top position in Bihar.”
“We have snatched the government from the mouth of RJD in February 2024 and we will form the government of NDA in 2025 as well,” Choudhary said.
“We welcome our state president. We aim for the NDA will win 225 seats in the Bihar assembly election 2025. BJP was strong in the past and it will become even stronger during the tenure of Dilip Jaiswal as state president. He knows the organization well. He served as a treasurer of BJP for 20 years and he know every party worker by name,” said Prem Kumar, the cabinet minister under BJP quota in the Bihar government.
