Patna July 23: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated many infrastructural projects to Bihar state in her budget speech on Tuesday.
While addressing the Lok Sabha, Nirmala Sitharaman announced the creation of a development hub in Gaya, which will be established on the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor.
Union Finance Minister announcement: She further said that this corridor will characterize the industrial development of the region. The industrial load in Gaya will be a good model for developing cultural importance in future sectors of the modern economy. This model will showcase “Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi” (Development and Heritage) in a growth trajectory.
Expressway projects for Bihar: In addition, she announced three expressway projects in Bihar to improve connectivity within the state.
“We will also support the development of road connectivity namely the Patna-Purnea expressway, Buxar-Bhagalpur expressway, Bodh Gaya-Rajgir-Vaishali-Darbhanga four-lane expressway and additional two-lane bridge over Ganga in Buxar at a total cost of Rs 26 thousand crores,” the union finance minister said in the budget speech.

Union Finance Minister also booster to power sectors: The union finance minister also announced to establishment 2400 megawatt power plant at Pirpainti in Bhagalpur district at a cost of Rs 21400 crore. Besides, new airports, medical colleges and sports centers will be constructed in Bihar. An additional allocation to support capital investments will be provided. The request of the Bihar government for external assistance from multilateral development banks will be expedited.
