TRE-3 aspirants surrounded the Bihar education minister over supplementary result delay.

Patna, June 11, 2025: tensions flared on Wednesday as candidates of BPSC TRE-3 surrounded Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar, demanding the release of supplementary results.

The protest took place during the inauguration of the new State Urdu Library building in Patna.

The agitated candidates staged a dramatic demonstration by lying in front of the minister’s car and clinging to its bonnet, raising slogans like “Release the supplementary result!”

The situation turned tense for a while, prompting security personnel to intervene.

The protest occurred after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had officially inaugurated the Rs.3.07 crore building and departed the venue.

TRE-3 candidates surrounded Sunil Kumar after the CM left the venue:

Sunil Kumar was surrounded shortly after the Chief Minister left the venue.

This is not the first time the TRE-3 aspirants have confronted the minister. In the past, they have staged protests at the JDU party office and other venues demanding action.

Speaking to the demonstrators, Sunil Kumar assured them there was no objection from the government to releasing the results, but clarified that the final call lies with the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

Earlier protests turned chaotic:

On May 6, a similar protest outside Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence turned chaotic when Patna police resorted to a mild lathi charge.

A female candidate was rendered unconscious during the confrontation.

Despite warnings, the protestors attempted to breach security barricades near Raj Bhawan and the BPSC office, resulting in a scuffle with law enforcement.

TRE-3 candidates have been pressing for the release of the supplementary result for months, alleging delays have jeopardized their future.

With no resolution in sight, protests are intensifying drawing widespread attention and adding pressure on the administration and BPSC to act swiftly.
