The Second Amrit Bharat train will be Bihar on April 24 to offer joy to passengers.

Patna, April 19, 2025: Bihar is all set to receive the gift of its second Amrit Bharat train, with services scheduled to commence on April 24.
This will also be the third Amrit Bharat train in the country, offering a modern, long-distance rail travel option for passengers.
The new train will operate from Saharsa to Amritsar via New Delhi, catering to the long-standing demand for a direct, comfortable connection to the national capital and Punjab. Initially, the train will run once a week.
PM Modi is expected to flag off the Amrit Bharat train:
The train is expected to be flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, likely during his scheduled visit to Madhubani on April 24 for a rally.
To mark the occasion, special inauguration programs will be held at Saharsa Junction and Samastipur Railway Division.

The rake for the Amrit Bharat Express has already reached Saharsa and is undergoing final testing and commissioning.
As of now, more than half of the coaches have been readied, and the full rake is expected to be operational by April 20.
Although the final timetable and route details have yet to be officially released, early indications suggest the train will travel from Saharsa to Amritsar and back using a single rake.
Amrit Bharat train will be the game changer for North Bihar:
Depending on passenger demand and the availability of a second rake, the frequency may be increased to a daily service in the future.

According to railway officials, this modern rail service is expected to become a game-changer for travelers in north Bihar, offering them a convenient, faster, and better-equipped alternative to reach Delhi and Punjab.
