Patna, April 23, 2026: Janata Dal (United) Delhi State President Shailendra Kumar has congratulated Nitish Kumar on his unanimous election as the party’s National President, and senior leader Sanjay Jha on his reappointment as National Executive President.
Describing the development as a reflection of the party’s organizational strength and leadership’s confidence, Shailendra Kumar said the election process, conducted as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, reaffirmed Nitish Kumar’s stature as a national leader.
Shailendra Kumar noted that the party’s performance in recent Lok Sabha and Bihar Assembly elections demonstrated the effectiveness of Nitish Kumar’s leadership, adding that his guidance has energized party workers and strengthened the organization across the country.
“Under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the JD(U) has gained renewed momentum and is poised to emerge as a strong national political force focused on public issues,” he said.
Shailendra Kumar praises Sanjay Jha:
Shaliendra Kumar also highlighted the role of Sanjay Jha, stating that his reappointment reflects the leadership’s trust in his organizational capabilities.
He credited Jha with playing a key role in expanding the party’s base beyond Bihar, strengthening the organizational structure, and connecting with youth and diverse sections of society.

“His contribution in building the party’s identity as a strong ideological force has been significant,” Kumar added.
Party’s future outlook:
JD(U) Delhi unit General Secretary Sarvesh Kashyap said party workers would intensify efforts to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level, particularly at the booth level.
He expressed confidence that the party would play a more influential role in national politics in the coming years, guided by its core principles of development, social justice, inclusive politics, and public welfare.

Leaders reiterated that under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Sanjay Jha, the party aims to expand its footprint across the country.
