Patna, June 12, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday announced that the state government has set a target to materialize investments worth nearly Rs 5 lakh crore in Bihar by November 20, 2026.

He also revealed that work has begun on introducing rapid rail connectivity in the state, aiming to connect cities such as Gaya, Rajgir, and Muzaffarpur within forty minutes.

The Chief Minister made these announcements while addressing the “12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare” media interaction program organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party to mark the completion of 12 years of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Samrat Choudhary highlighted the achievements of the state and centre:

During the event, Samrat Choudhary presented a detailed account of the achievements, development initiatives, and future plans of both the Central and Bihar governments.

Speaking on industrial growth, the Chief Minister stated that Bihar is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for investors.

He said several major projects, including cement plants, beverage manufacturing units, and data centers, are progressing swiftly across the state.

“We have set a target to materialize investments worth approximately Rs 5 lakh crore by the completion of one year of the NDA government,” Choudhary said.

He further announced that to accelerate industrial development and reduce bureaucratic delays, the government has implemented a 30-day deadline for granting approvals.

According to him, if the approval process is not completed within the stipulated period, the required permissions will be granted automatically.

Highlighting infrastructure expansion, Samrat Choudhary said Bihar has witnessed unprecedented development in roads, electricity, railways, and aviation sectors.

Following the operational success of airports in Darbhanga and Purnea, work is now underway on several new airport, airstrip, and helipad projects across the state.

He also emphasized the government’s focus on improving rapid transport infrastructure.

Serious efforts are being made to implement a rapid rail project linking Rajgir, Gaya, and Muzaffarpur, which aims to significantly reduce travel time between the cities.

On the Sahyog program:

On governance and public services, Samrat Choudhary highlighted the state government’s “Sahyog” program, under which citizens can submit grievances through an online system.

According to the Chief Minister, complaints filed under the program must be resolved within 30 days.

Failure to address grievances within the prescribed timeframe would invite action against the responsible officials on the 31st day.

Explaining the mechanism of the program, he said notices are automatically generated if officials fail to act within fixed deadlines.

“If work is not completed within 10 days, an automatic notice is issued on the 11th day. A second notice follows on the 21st day,” he said.

Samrat Choudhary stressed that governance should function in the service of the people and not through favouritism or administrative arbitrariness.

“The people are the real masters. The government exists for public welfare, and we must build a system that respects the mandate and trust given by the people,” he added.
