Gurugram, April 18, 2026: The first meeting of the Gurugram Zonal Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year 2026-27 was held at its office in Udyog Vihar, Gurugram, on Saturday.
The meeting set a forward-looking agenda centered on ‘Future-Ready Growth,” aimed at giving fresh direction to the region’s industrial development.
The session was chaired by Kunal Soni, Chairman of the CII Gurugram Zone and CEO of Meenakshi Polymers, in the presence of Vice Chairman Naman Jain.
Several senior representatives from the CII Haryana Council also participated, including Vinod Bapna, former Chairman, Dr. Anandi N. Sinha, Anuj Nagpal, Amin Rao, Ratnakar Pandey, and Sanjay Bhargava.
Vision 2047: Future-Ready Gurugram was focused during the CII meet:
The central theme of the meeting—future-ready Gurugram: Vision for a detailed discussion on key pillars such as policy advocacy, MSME growth, industrial competitiveness, the startup ecosystem, sustainability, and membership expansion.
Participants deliberated on strategies to enhance Gurugram’s position as a leading industrial hub by strengthening innovation, boosting productivity, and creating a more conducive business environment.

CII members also shared updates from their recent engagements with the Government of Haryana.
Key issues discussed included ensuring uninterrupted LPG and fuel supply for industrial units, improving the Ease of Doing Business framework, and strengthening physical and civic infrastructure.
A strong emphasis was placed on improving coordination with local administrative to address infrastructure bottlenecks and support industrial expansion.
Infrastructure and Innovation push:
During the meeting, Amin Rao highlighted the need to expedite the construction of a proposed 50-meter road and green belt by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC).
The project—planned between Hero Honda Chowk and the Dwarka Expressway—is expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease congestion in key industrial zones.
Additionally, the council stressed the importance of fostering innovation by strengthening collaboration between established industries and emerging startups, creating a dynamic and future-ready ecosystem.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council resolved to adopt a focused, team-driven, and result-oriented approach to accelerate Gurugram’s transformation into a robust industrial and economic powerhouse.
The roadmap laid out during the session reflects CII’s commitment to positioning Gurugram as a model for sustainable and competitive industrial growth in India.
