The Samrat Choudhary government on Wednesday officially announced the launch of Brand Bihar, a strategic state-wide initiative established under the Chief Secretary’s Cell to build a unified, progressive, and future-ready identity for the state.
The initiative aims to strengthen Bihar’s image through evidence-based communication, grassroots transformation stories, and strategic positioning on national and global platforms.
According to the announcement, Brand Bihar has been created to accelerate the state’s integrated branding communication and positioning efforts by highlighting Bihar’s developmental progress, institutional reforms, entrepreneurship, innovation, cultural heritage, and citizen-led transformations.
The initiative will function in coordination with various departments of the Government of Bihar, along with institutions, industries, startups, academia, and local communities, to craft a shared and authentic narrative about Bihar’s transformation journey.
The major focus areas of Brand Bihar include building and strengthening Bihar’s image and identity through evidence-based storytelling and communication, showcasing grassroots-level development works, reforms, citizen impact, and departmental achievements.
Samrat Choudhary Government aims to attract investors through promoting Brand Bihar:
Promoting Bihar as an investment-friendly destination by highlighting opportunities across sectors, creating collaborative platforms among government departments, industries, startups, and educational institutions, and developing a long-term brand architecture and strategic communication framework for the state.
Creating AI-based monitoring tools and dashboards to map Public sentiment and measuring engagement is one of the highlights of Brand Bihar.
Bihar Chief Secretary will supervise the initiative:
This initiative will operate under the leadership of Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, who will provide strategic direction to the program. The effort will also receive support from Shraddha Sharma.
Pratyaya Amrit emphasized that Brand Bihar is not merely a communication campaign, but a long-term mission for state transformation and image-building.

The initiative seeks to integrate development, investment, identity, and civic participation into a shared vision of Bihar’s future.
The overall objective is to ensure that Bihar’s achievement opportunities and transformative changes are systematically documented and effectively communicated, thereby creating a strong, authentic, and globally competitive identity for the state.
