Patna, June 20, 2026: The long wait of thousands of aspirants in Bihar has finally come to an end as the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the final results of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination on Saturday.
The results were officially declared by BPSC Chairman Ravi Manubhai Parmar in the presence of Controller of Examination Rajesh Kumar Singh and Secretary Satya Prakash Sharma.
With the declaration of the final results, the nearly two-year-long recruitment process for 2,027 government posts has been completed.
Candidates can check their results on the official BPSC website.
Over 5,400 candidates appeared for the interview in the BPSC exam:
Prior to the release of the final results, interviews were conducted for 5,401 candidates who had qualified in the main examination.
Following the completion of the interview process, the commission published the final merit list.
The 70th main examination was conducted between April 25 and April 30, 2025, at 32 examination centres in Patna.
A total of 20,034 candidates appeared in the examination, while the mains result was declared on December 16, 2025.
Candidates can check their results by visiting the BPSC official website.
A link will be open on the website, followed by candidates who can open the PDF file to search for their names through roll numbers.
The recruitment drive will fill 2,027 vacancies across several important state services, including the Bihar Administrative Service, the Bihar Police Service, the Bihar Financial Administrative Service, the Revenue Service, and other administrative and departmental posts.
Appointment process to begin:
With the declaration of the final results, the appointment process for successful candidates will now begin.
The BPSC will forward recommendations to the respective departments, after which appointment letters will be issued to the selected candidates.
For thousands of aspirants, the result marks the culmination of years of preparation and hard work, bringing them closer to joining Bihar’s administrative machinery.
