Patna, June 9, 2026: The Bihar government has announced comprehensive preparation for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled on June 21, 2026, with authorities emphasizing that the exam will be conducted in a transparent and secure environment.
High-level meeting for the NEET UG re-examination:
A high-level joint review meeting was held under the co-chairmanship of Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit and Director General of Police Vinay Kumar.
During the meeting, detailed guidelines based on a zero-tolerance policy were issued to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
Pratyaya Amrit noted that the Chief Minister of Bihar has already conducted a separate high-level review of arrangements for this important NEET UG examination.
He said the state government is fully confident and determined to conduct the test without any errors or failures.

In a significant logistical change, question papers will be transported directly to state hubs using special Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft in coordination with the Department of Posts.
Officials said the airlift arrangement will reduce transportation time to examination centres to approximately 2-3 hours.
The NEET UG re-examination will be held on 331 examination centres across 35 cities in 34 districts of Bihar.
A total of 1,54,061 candidates, including 81,175 male and 74,896 female candidates, will be expected to participate in the examination.
According to the official figures, Patna district has 95 centres where 46,029 candidates will give the examination. Similarly, 16 centres in Darbhanga, 13 in Muzaffarpur, 12 in Gaya, 12 in Siwan, 13 in Motihari, 15 in Bhagalpur, 12 in Purnea, 8 in Bettiah, 11 in Hajipur, 11 in Vaishali, 7 in Samastipur, 7 in Gopalganj, 8 in Begusarai, 7 in Nalanda, 7 in Rohtas, 6 in Sitamarhi, and 8 in Madhubani.
Government assurance:
The state government has reiterated that all arrangements, from transportation of question papers to centre-level security and monitoring, are being implemented with the objective of ensuring a fair, secure, and disruption-free examination for all candidates.
