Gurugram to host Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 events till August 17; many programmes will be held at different locations.

Gurugram, August 9, 2026: A series of programmes will be organized across Gurugram district until August 17 under the Har Ghat Tiranga campaign 2026, as part of the state-level commemoration of the 150-year journey of Vande Mataram.

The campaign aims to strengthen citizens’ emotional connection with the national flag and promote patriotism through widespread public participation.

Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said activities would be organized at the district headquarters, municipal areas, blocks and Gram Panchayats.

Exhibitions on the Tiranga and Vande Mataram will be held at shopping malls, parks, railway stations, schools, colleges and universities.

The Haryana Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages will hold exhibitions and selfie points at four locations, including the mini Secretariat, highlighting the evolution of the national flag and the journey of Vande Mataram.

ADC Sonu Bhat has been appointed overall in charge of the campaign in the district.

Har Ghar Tiranga rally on August 12:

A major Tiranga rally featuring motorcycles, bicycles and e-bikes will be held on August 12.

The rally will begin at Nehru Stadium, proceed through Rajiv Chowk and return to the stadium.

Athletes, NCC and NSS cadets, youth clubs, RWAs, NGOs, students, Anganwadi workers and government employees are expected to participate.

A collective rendition of Vande Mataram may also be organized at the beginning of the rally.

Selfie points featuring the Tricolour will also be established at prominent locations under the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, Municipal Corporation Maneser, Sohna and Pataudi-Jatoli Mandi areas.

Citizens will be encouraged to take photographs with the national flag and upload them to the Har Ghar Tiranga portal.

Buildings to be illuminated in tricolour:

Government buildings, bridges, hospitals, schools and other prominent public assets will be decorated and illuminated in the colours of the national flag

Tiranga-themed rangoli designs based on the Vande Mataram theme will also be created at educational institutions, government offices and other important locations.

The Zila Parishad will establish sales counters for self-help groups and local vendors on the ground floor of the Mini Secretariat, where citizens can purchase flags at reasonable prices. National flags will also be made available to BPL families through fair-price shops.

Programmes will also be organized on August 13 and 14 to observe the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

A state-level programme will be held on August 14 at Maharana Pratap Swarn Jayanti Park, also known as Leisure Valley Park, Gurugram.

Students will participate through online activities on the MyGov platform, including quizzes, speeches, discussions and exhibitions.

Documentary films on the partition will also be screened at schools, colleges and universities.
