Patna, May 19, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday inaugurated the statewide rollout of the Sahyog Shivir (Assistance Camp) initiative from Dumri Buzurg Panchayat in Sonepur block, emphasizing swift grievance redressal and fair compensation for landowners.

Samrat Choudhary assured land compensation:

Addressing public concerns over land acquisition for the proposed township project, Samrat Choudhary clarified that no farmer or landowner would suffer financial loss.

He stated that individuals who may face urgent needs, such as a natural calamity or arranging a daughter’s wedding, can submit applications to the District Magistrate.

After due verification, compensation will be provided at four times the standard rate, directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Highlighting the objective of the initiative, Samrat Choudhary said the Sahyog Shivir aims to ensure quick and transparent resolution of public grievances.

He pointed out that all applications must be resolved within 30 days, and failure to do so will lead to automatic suspension of concerned officials on the 31st day.

The Sahyog Shivir will be held in every Panchayat on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Samrat Choudhary also referenced the launch of the Sahyog Portal and helpline number 1100, introduced on May 11, to facilitate complaint registration.

Monitoring and accountability measures:

To ensure timely resolution, notices will be issued to officials on the 10th, 20th and 25th days after an application is filed.

Samrat Choudhary stressed that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any negligence.

The Chief Minister announced several major infrastructure projects for the region, including the construction of Ganga-Ambika Path, on the lines of Patna’s JP Ganga Path, the development of a new bridge, airport, and township in Sonepur, and the township will be named after Baba Hariharnath.

Focus on Education and healthcare:

Samrat Choudhary stated that the government is working toward establishing degree colleges and model schools in every block.

On healthcare, he directed officials to end the practice of unnecessary referrals of patients to higher medical centres by August 15.
