Patna, May 4, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday reacted to the results of assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal, through a series of social media posts, congratulating voters and party workers for the party’s performance.

Samrat Choudhary gave a tribute to Syama Prasad Mookerjee:

In his posts, the Bihar Chief Minister paid tribute to Syama Prasad Mookerjee, emphasizing his legacy in Bengal’s political and ideological landscape.

“The Bengal where Syama Prasad Mookerjee was born, that Bengal is ours. My heartfelt congratulations to the vigilant and nationalist people of Bengal for delivering a historic mandate,” he wrote.

The remarks are being seen as an attempt to energize party cadres and reinforce ideological messaging following the election results.

Apart from West Bengal, Samrat Choudhary also expressed satisfaction over the party’s performance in other regions, including Assam and Puducherry.

He thanked voters and party workers, attributing the results to governance, development, and organizational strength.

He credited the leadership of Narendra Modi and party president Nitin Nabin for guiding the party’s efforts.

Political messaging and interpretation:

The Chief Minister described the electorates of West Bengal as a nation devoted, suggesting that the result reflects a shift in political sentiment.

His statements have been interpreted by observers as part of broader messaging aimed at highlighting nationalism and countering opposition narratives.

Samrat Choudhary, who has been actively involved in election campaigning beyond Bihar, also participated in campaign activities in West Bengal and described the outcome as a significant moment for the party.
