Bihar Chief Secretary announced for expansion of the Bihta-Parev road:
In another development to address persistent traffic congestion on the Bihta Chowk and up to Parev village on the Patna-Arrah stretch, Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena announced plans for road expansion.
During an inspection at Bihta Chowk, Meena stated that the Road Construction Department will construct two additional lanes to convert the existing two-lane road into a four-lane highway, easing traffic flow in the area.
The Bihta-Parev stretch, which connects to NH 922, the Parev-Buxar four-lane road, experiencing regular traffic snarls due to its limited capacity.
The expansion is expected to integrate smoothly with the already-approved Patna-Bihta four-lane elevated road.
“Some part of land required for the project falls under a forest area and necessitating clearance will be taken from the relevant authority soon. The Patna District Magistrate will address any potential hurdles to ensure timely execution,” Meena said.
Parve village, located along the banks of Son River, is a critical link in the region’s transportation network, and the upgrades aim to improve connectivity and reduce communication times.
