Patna, September 8, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday said resolving citizens’ grievances and ensuring justice is the government’s responsibility.
He stressed that the ‘Sahyog Karyakram’ (Cooperation Program) is an important mechanism for addressing public concerns and directed officials to ensure their prompt resolution.
A state-level ‘Sahyog Karyakram’ was organized at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Patna, where 137 applicants from across the state presented their grievances.
Samrat Choudhary directed the concerned departments and district administration officials to take timely action on the cases.
Samrat Choudhary emphasized transparent and time-bound disposal:
Emphasizing the need to maintain public confidence in the grievance-redressal mechanism, Choudhary instructed officials to handle complaints with transparency, sensitivity and impartiality within the stipulated timeframe.
Applicants raised issues related to several departments, including Revenue and Land Reforms, Education, Home, Rural Works, Health, Food and Consumer Protection, and Social Welfare.
The Chief Minister directed District Magistrates and departmental officials to resolve the cases within the prescribed deadlines.

Officials also assured applicants that necessary action would be initiated promptly.
Samrat Choudhary said applicants whose grievances have already been resolved at the district level need not travel to Patna to attend the state- level program.
However, people facing complex issues that cannot be resolved at the district level can approach the state-level ‘Sahyog Karyakram.’
He said the program provides a platform for reviewing such cases and facilitating appropriate and prompt decisions.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government is committed to resolving public grievances in a transparent, impartial and time-bound manner.
Eligible beneficiaries not to be denied welfare schemes:
Samrat Choudhary also directed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive old-age pensions and ration cards without delay.
He stressed that no eligible person should be deprived of government welfare benefits because of technical issues.

He said the government aims to resolve grievances received through ‘Sahyog’ camps within 30 days and instructed officials and staff to work with complete transparency and sensitivity.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the objective is not merely to dispose of applications but to ensure satisfactory resolution of citizens’ grievances and strengthen public trust in the administration.
