Union MSME Minister alleged Jan Suraj offered promises to voters of Rs 1 lakh.

Patna October 25, 2025: Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has alleged that the Jan Suraj Party (JSP), led by political strategist Prashant Kishor, is attempting to lure voters in the Imamganj constituency by promising them cash payment of Rs 1 lakh each.
Manjhi raised this issue while campaigning in Gaya on Thursday in support of his daughter-in-law, Deepa Manjhi, the Hindustani Awam Morcha candidate for the Imamganj assembly seat.
“I want to appeal to the Election Commission to investigate and take action against the Jan Suraj Party for allegedly offering cash incentives to influence voters,” Manjhi said.
Union MSME Minister asked people to stay alert from such parties:
In a speech, the Union MSME minister cautioned the people of Imamganj against the Jan Suraj party’s tactics, accusing it of going to every Tola (Small Village) and asking villagers to fill out forms in exchange for a promise of Rs 1 lakh if they vote for the party.
“I want to urge voters not to be swayed by such promises and instead focus on the development,” Manjhi said.
Union MSME Minister said Jan Suraj has no right to get votes in Imamganj:
The Union MSME Minister emphasized the extensive work he claims to have accomplished for the constituency. Criticizing Jan Suraj’s credibility, he questioned what contributions the party had made to the region compared to HAMS’s achievements.
“We have done thousands of works. We have the right to ask for votes, but what work have these Jan Suraj people done,” he asked.
The Union MSME Minister stated that with both him and his son currently holding ministerial roles in the central and state governments, respectively, Deepa’s election could elevate Imamganj’s development.
He suggested that her potential victory would strengthen the constituency’s representation and pave the way for further development, hinting that she could become a minister if she won the seat.
These allegations add to the ongoing political rivalry in Bihar, where the Jan Suraj Party, is presenting itself as a fresh alternative, while established parties and leaders like Manjhi, stress their development work and existing influence in government.
Alliance partners also supported HAMS’s candidate:
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary supported Manjhi’s appeal suggesting that HAM’s leadership would continue to accelerate development in Bihar.
The government will not change with this election but with the support of all of us, the pace of development in Bihar will increase at double the speed,” Choudhary said.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, added that Deepa Manjhi has been active in politics and is the known face of Imamganj.
