Gurugram, April 27, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini lauded the role of the direct selling industry in empowering individuals and promoting self-reliance.

He emphasized that such platforms are enabling youth and women to become economically independent while contributing to the broader vision of Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Speaking at the event held at Leisure Valley Park, Sector 29 in Gurugram, CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that modern India is progressing rapidly due to the energy of its youth and the strength of women.

He reiterated that the goal is to transform job seekers into job creators, an objective strongly supported by the direct selling ecosystem.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlights the role of direct selling in building Atmanirbhar Bharat:

Speaking at the event, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami underscored the significance of the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rule, 2021, stating that the framework has brought greater transparency and credibility to the direct selling sector.

He noted that these regulations have not only safeguarded consumer interest but have also strengthened the confidence of millions of individuals associated with the industry.

Dhami emphasized that flagship initiatives of the Central Government, such as Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, Vocal for Local, Make in India, have played a crucial role in positioning India among the world’s fastest-growing economies.

He highlighted that the country has now emerged as the third-largest startup ecosystem globally, with its youth carving a distinct identity in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Highlighting the importance of the direct selling industry, Dhami stated that it serves as a key pillar in realizing the vision of  Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

According to him, the sector provides meaningful opportunities for youth and women to achieve economic independence based on their skills and capabilities.

The Chief Minister also outlined various initiatives undertaken by the Uttarakhand government across sectors such as industry, investment, tourism, and women’s empowerment, noting that the state is progressing rapidly on the path of development.

He added that sustained efforts are being made to promote a robust investment and startup ecosystem in the state.

Referring to schemes like “Lakhpati Didi,” Dhami said such initiatives are playing a vital role in empowering women and making them financially self-reliant.

He further stressed that under the vision of “Vocal for Local” and Local to Global,” continuous efforts are being made to give global recognition to indigenous products.

Over 1 lakh people take pledge for Viksit Bharat in Gurugram:

A massive gathering of over one lakh people at Leisure Valley in Gurugram turned into a grand celebration of self-reliance and national unity during the event titled ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Ka Vijay Parv,’ organized by AWPL, a direct selling company.

The event witnessed participants lighting up their mobiles, flashing, and collectively pledging to contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat (developed India), reflecting a strong sense of unity and commitment.

Record-breaking Hanuman Chalisa chanting:

A remarkable highlight of the event was the creation of a world record, as more than 100,000 attendees recited the Hanuman Chalisa in unison.

The spiritual atmosphere, combined with the sheer scale of participation, transformed the venue into a powerful symbol of cultural unity and devotion.

The event also featured a spectacular laser and drone show, which became the biggest attraction of the evening. The night sky lit up with artistic projections of prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and two Chief Ministers.

The visual spectacle drew thunderous applause from the crowd, adding a celebratory dimension to the event.

Focus on empowerment and women’s empowerment:

AWPL’s Managing Director, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, stated that the organization is committed not just to business growth but to creating employment opportunities and promoting healthy living.

Both Chief Ministers highlighted the significant participation of women, noting that direct selling platforms are enabling them to work from home and achieve financial independence. Initiatives like women entrepreneurship and self-employment were central themes throughout the event.

A movement beyond a corporate event:

Leaders present, including Haryana ministers Rao Narbir Singh and Vipul Goel, described the event as more than just a corporate gathering.

They called it a mass movement aimed at transforming the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat into reality.

The program concluded with a collective pledge by attendees to continue working towards a developed and self-reliant India by 2047.
