Patna, April 28, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi jointly inaugurated an MSME Technology Centre at Sikandarpur village in the Bihta Industrial area on the outskirts of Patna on Tuesday.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated extension centres in Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Munger, and Rohtas, aiming at expanding access to modern technology and industry-oriented skill training across the state.

Samrat Choudhary highlighted skill development and employment:

Addressing a gathering, CM Samrat Choudhary reiterated the government’s commitment to large-scale job creation, stating that the target is to provide employment to 1 crore people within the next year.

He said the NDA government, formed on November 20, 2025, has set an ambitious goal of attracting Rs 5 crore investment by November 5, 2026.

The government is committed to providing jobs to 1 crore people, and the MSME sector will play a crucial role in generating employment and imparting training,” he stated.

Highlighting economic activity, Samrat Choudhary added that despite criticism from the opposition, investment is steadily flowing into Bihar.

He also pointed out that Bihar’s large consumer base significantly contributes to revenue generation through GST.

Focus on rural education expansion:

CM Samrat Choudhary also announced a major initiative to strengthen higher education in rural areas. Students in villages often had to travel long distances to district or subdivision headquarters for higher studies.

To address this, degree colleges will be opened in every block, and the process will begin from July this year,” he said.

Nationwide MSME outreach initiative:

The MSME Ministry plans to organize similar events at 350 locations across the country this year to encourage youth participation, entrepreneurship, and skill development.
