Samrat Choudhary said BPSC is an autonomous body, independent of making decisions on 70th combined exam.

Patna December 31, 2024: Samrat Choudhary, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar said the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is an autonomous body, independent in making decisions that prioritize the interest of the students.
The statement of Samrat Choudhary came after a meeting with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.
Samrat Choudhary remarked, “Unlike other states, the Public Service Commission (PSC) in Bihar is an autonomous body. It is independent to make decisions in the interest of the students. I am sure it will take decisions in the interest of students.”
He also noted that the government has entrusted the BPSC with full discretion to address the concerns raised.
The decisions between Samrat Choudhary and Nitish Kumar, who returned from Delhi late Monday, also included recent incidents such as the lathi-charge and ongoing protest.
Many NDA leaders met with Nitish Kumar apart from Samrat Choudhary:
Sitamarhi MP Devesh Chandra Thakur, who also met the Chief Minister, added that the state government has taken cognizance of the issue and assured that a resolution would be reached soon.
“The Chief Secretary of Bihar met with the students and he will find ways to resolve the issue,” Thakur said.
Mangal Pandey, the agriculture minister of Bihar also said the chief secretary of Bihar is looking after the matter. He met with the students’ groups and he will resolve the issue soon.
Earlier, two delegations of candidates met with the chief secretary Amrit Lal Meena on Monday to discuss their grievances.
One delegation was supported by Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishor, while the other was led by Purnea MP Pappu Yadav.
BPSC candidates firm of re-examination:
Both the groups reiterated the primary demand for a re-examination of the 70th combined preliminary examination, underscoring the shared concerns of the protesting candidates.
The agitation by BPSC candidates continues, as they await a definitive decision from BPSC and the state government.
