Rahul Gandhi’s anger is understandable, says Shivanand Tiwari.

Patna: RJD vice president Shivanand Tiwari on Saturday said former national president of Congress Rahul Gandhi is angry and he has legitimate reasons for his anger as the Income Tax department has freezed more than one dozen bank accounts of the party.

“Anyone can understand the uneasiness of Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders as the Income tax department not only freezed the bank account but also withdrew crores of rupees without the permission of account holders. The nomination for the Lok Sabha election started now and hence we can understand the uneasiness of Congress and Rahul Gandhi,” Tiwari said.

“Rahul Gandhi has warned the officials of the Income Tax department. He said that when this government changes in the country, he will not leave anyone. Rahul Gandhi probably hasn’t noticed that the Britishers prepared all administrative structures in such a manner to maintain their rule. The officials of such structures consider it as their duty to suppress and crush voices against the king. The members of the election commission also come from the same background but TN Seshan was an exception,” Tiwari said.

“Now, what is the option Congress has? Will Rahul Gandhi and Congress party make this an issue and go before the people of the country in this election. The status of courts is not good at present. The Narendra Modi government has openly paralyzed the Congress party. Why is Rahul Gandhi not making it an issue in the Lok Sabha election,” Tiwari said.

“I firmly believe that giving suggestions is easy but its implementation is very tough but Congress is a big party and a section of people outside the Congress are also standing behind it. They  want to save the democracy of the country. If everyone gets united and prepares one policy, they have a chance to save the country,” he said.
