Pappu Yadav said Congress party has taken decision in the interest of the country.

Patna: After the announcement of the seat sharing formula of INDIA bloc for Bihar, Congress leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav said that his partyhas taken the decision in the interest of the country. He also said that he is with the decision of the party.

“For me, the country is first and our party is behind the nation. Congress has taken the decision in the interest of the country and Bihar and I accept the decision. Our leader Rahul Gandhi has formed the INDIA bloc with the motive to remove the current government from the centre,” Yadav said.

Earlier, Pappu Yadav claimed the ticket of Congress to contest the Lok Sabha election from Purnea. He merged his party called Jan Adhikar Party in Congress on March 20 and hoped that this seat may come to the Congress party. As per the seat sharing formula, Purnea seat went to RJD and he left empty handed.

“Congress has not given candidates in several constituencies in Bihar but the grand alliance is strong here. My party has taken the decision to make INDIA bloc strong in Bihar and I am with the decision of my party. I will go before the people of Purnea in favour of the INDIA bloc candidate,” he further said.

Polling in Purnea will take place in the second phase on April 26 and Bima Bharti is a candidate of INDIA bloc in Purnea.
