Pappu Yadav appealed to Lalu Prasad Yadav to give the Purnea seat to Congress.

Patna: Five times MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav rescheduled his nomination programme from April 2 to April 4.
Pappu Yadav is contesting as an independent candidate from Purnea Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. He had merged his party Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) in Congress on March 20 with the hope to get the ticket of the grand old party. As the seat went to RJD following the seat sharing formula of INDIA bloc, he has decided to contest the election from Purnea as an independent candidate.
“My friends and supporters spread across the country. They want to participate in my nomination and hence I have decided to reschedule the date of nomination from April 2 to April 4. I appeal to the people of Purnea to bless me with their support,” Pappu Yadav said while addressing the media persons in Purnea.
He also appealed to the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to give the Purnea seat to Congress party.
“I want to request RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to reconsider his decision and give the Purnea Lok Sabha seat to Congress to respect the coalition pact. RJD is a senior partner in the grand alliance in Bihar,” Yadav said.
“Some leaders of the INDIA bloc do not want me to contest the election from Purnea but I want to tell them that I will contest only from this constituency. I cannot contest in any other constituency like Madhepura, Supaul, Khagaria or Araria in Bihar,” he said.
“I want to say to Lalu Prasad Yadav that I am a part of your family. My home is Purnea and Seemanchal region of Bihar. I request you to reconsider your decision. No one can ask me to go away from home. Don’t consider me weak. I do not do the politics of caste and religion,” Yadav said.
