Manoj Jha claimed Tejashwi Yadav is a CM face of the Grand Alliance for 2025 Bihar poll and it is a universal truth.

Patna April 18, 2025: A day after the INDIA bloc ( Mahagathbandhan) formally appointed Tejashwi Yadav as the Chairman of its Coordination Committee for the Bihar assembly elections 2025, Manoj Jha, the Rajya Sabha MP of RJD reaffirmed him as the Chief Ministerial face of the alliance.
“The way the sun rises from the east and it is a universal truth, similarly Tejashwi Yadav is the Chief Ministerial face of the INDIA Bloc and it is a universal truth,” Jha said.
Manoj Jha highlighted the past performance of Tejashwi Yadav:
Manoj Jha highlighted Tejashwi’s performance in the 2020 elections, where the party emerged as the single largest in Bihar, and his impactful 17-month tenure as Deputy CM, arguing that his leadership has outpaced the opposition.

“His 17-month tenure as Deputy Chief Minister in the Grand Alliance coalition government has been praised within party ranks for performance and visibility. He had given jobs for the youths of Bihar and many other welfare schemes. He has drawn a long line which is extremely hard for the ruling parties to catch and hence trying to create confusion on the CM face of the Grand Alliance,” Jha said.
RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari further emphasized:
“There is clarity and unity in the Mahagathbandhan. Tejashwi is leading the committee, and the people of Bihar have immense faith in him.”
When asked about Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru’s cautious remarks on the CM’s face, Tiwari clarified: “There is unity and clarity in the Mahagathbandhan and that was pointed out by Krishna Allavaru in the joint press meet on Thursday, so where is the confusion of the CM face. Tejashwi Yadav is leading the INDIA bloc’s coordination in Bihar.”
The INDIA bloc meeting on Thursday at the RJD office in Patna saw the participation of RJD, Congress, VIP, CPI-ML, CPI, and CPI (M), where the decision to elect Tejashwi as leader of the coordination committee was unanimous.
NDA’s response: “We’re focused on performance, not posturing.” In a sharp rebuttal, Bihar’s Rural Work Department Minister Ashok Chaudhary dismissed the developments within the INDIA bloc, labeling them as distractions.
“We are not interested in what is happening in the Mahagathbandhan. They are rejected people. Our focus is on what the NDA has achieved and what we will take to the public,” Chaudhary said.
He also countered the INDIA bloc’s criticism over law and order, suggesting they introspect about their own past governance record.
