CM Nitish Kumar flags off over 600 new police vehicles to boost law and order in Bihar.

Patna, June 19, 2025: Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is in full action mode, unveiling a series of public-centric initiatives.
On Thursday, he extended a significant gift to the Bihar Police, aiming to strengthen policing and law enforcement across the state.
In a major step towards enhancing police mobility and operational capacity, the Chief Minister flagged off 520 four-wheelers and 98 two-wheelers from his official residence at 1, Anne Marg Patna. These vehicles will be deployed across various districts to aid in crime prevention, investigation, and the swift apprehension of criminals.
Nitish Kumar aiming improved policing with new vehicles:
Before the inauguration, CM Nitish Kumar inspected the fleet and interacted with senior police officials to understand the functionality and deployment plans of the new vehicles.

“The availability of these new vehicles will further increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Bihar Police. It will significantly improve our ability to maintain law and order and respond swiftly to any incident,” said Nitish Kumar during the ceremony.
Top officials present at the event:
The event began with Director General of Police Vinay Kumar welcoming the Chief Minister by presenting a green sapling as a token of respect and environmental consciousness.

Also present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, and many other senior officers.
This large-scale induction of vehicles marks another step in the state government’s efforts to modernize the police force and improve public safety infrastructure, especially in the run-up to the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
