Nitish Kumar inaugurates projects worth Rs 299.56 crore in Madhepura to boost infrastructures.

Patna January 30, 2025: As part of the Pragati Yatra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Madhepura on Thursday and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 69 developmental projects worth Rs 299.56 crore.

The main event took place at Government Polytechnic College Udakishunganj in Rasalpur Dhuria Panchayat, Chausa block where Nitish Kumar remotely inaugurated and launched various projects.

Nitish Kumar reviewed development projects:

During his visit, the chief minister reviewed various development projects in Rasalpur Dhuria Panchayat. He inspected stalls set up by different government departments at ITI, Udakishunganj, and interacted with beneficiaries.

In a significant financial boost, CM Nitish Kumar distributed cheques to self-help groups (SHGs) and Jeevika Didis.

A tune of Rs. 33.98 crore was given to 5,251 SHGs and Rs. 82.55 crore to another 7,685 SHGs. Besides, Rs. 6.55 crore was given to 1, 232 Jeeviks Didis in the district.

CM Interacted with Jeevika Didis and appreciated their contributions. He emphasized how self-help groups (SHGs) have transformed women’s economic status in Bihar. He highlighted the ‘Jeevika’ initiative, which inspired the Central Government’s ‘Ajeevika’ scheme.

“Women of Bihar have become self-reliant through Jeevika. They now talk with confidence and are progressing rapidly. I congratulate all Jeevika Didis for their excellent work,” Kumar stated.

Educational and Infrastructure Developments:

Nitish Kumar inaugurated ‘Centre for Excellence’ at Government Polytechnic College. He laid the foundation stone for Bihar State Minority Residential School and reviewed workshop facilities and modern technology machines at the Polytechnic College.

He also inaugurated a sports ground worth Rs. 9.94 lakhs at Raghunath Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School.

Nitish Kumar also reviewed road and transport Improvements to strengthen projects. He also inspected the Yogi Raj (SH 58) 14. 90 km road in the district and directed officials to ensure proper road construction for smoother transportation.

He also reviewed the agriculture and dairy development proposed Milk Chilling Plant construction in Gram Panchayat Bhadoul-Budhma. 

The Chief Minister visited the Jeevika stalls and observed various products.

The event was attended by Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary, MP Dinesh Chandra Yadav, and Local MLAs, MLCs, Senior bureaucrats, and district officials.

The visit marked another milestone in Bihar’s developmental roadmap, with a strong emphasis on economic self-sufficiency, education, and infrastructure expansion.
