Nitish Kumar will visit Madhepura as part of 2nd phase of the Pragati Yatra to boost infrastructures.

Patna January 30, 2025: Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, will visit Madhepura on Thursday as part of his ongoing Pragati Yatra to review rural development projects and assess the progress of various government initiatives.

During the visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of multiple development schemes worth crores of rupees.

Nitish Kumar will review ongoing projects:

He will focus on reviewing projects under Saat Nischay Part 2, including key initiatives like Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojana and Tola Sampark Yojana.

As part of his statewide tour, Nitish Kumar is visiting one district per day, overseeing developmental projects related to infrastructure, rural development, and public welfare.

In Madhepura, he is scheduled to spend over five hours, during which he will conduct a review meeting with district officials.

The district administration has already completed all necessary preparations for his visit.

Notably, Nitish Kumar has assured that all development projects announced during the Pragati Yatra will be formally approved in upcoming cabinet meetings, reinforcing the government’s commitment to rapid and effective implementation.

Review of development works in Katihar:

On Wednesday, as part of the Pragati Yatra, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Katihar and inaugurated or laid the foundation stones worth Rs 166.69 crore.

During the visit, he conducted an aerial survey of Gogabil Lake in the Ahmedabad block and assessed development works in Rampur Panchayat of Khoda block.

He also inaugurated badminton and volleyball courts and inspected key government infrastructure including the Panchayat government building, MNEREGA building, PACS building, health and wellness center and proposed sports complex site.

Additionally, he distributed cheques of approved amounts to beneficiaries under various state welfare schemes.

During a review meeting with officials, the Chief Minister discussed the implementation of government schemes and addressed key challenges.

Public representatives present during the meeting, presented concerns from their respective areas and Nitish Kumar directed officials to resolve all issues at the earliest.

The Pragati Yatra continues to serve as a crucial initiative for direct oversight, ensuring timely execution of projects and resolving bottlenecks in governance.
