Patna, September 7, 2024: JP Nadda, the Union minister of health and family welfare, visited Takht Harimandir Sahib Gurudwara in Patna during the second day of his two-day tour of Bihar.
Takht Harimandir Sahib Gurudwara, located in Patna City, is the birthplace of the Sikh 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj and is considered a pilgrimage site of the Sikh community.
JP Nadda offered prayers at the main Gurudwara and also visited the community kitchen (Langar) area.
The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, after the Gurudwara visit, will go to Darbhanga. He reached Darbhanga for the inspection of AIIMS Darbhanga and the inauguration of a super-specialty hospital.
“JP Nadda will visit the proposed site of Darbhanga AIIMS at Sobhan-Ekmi bypass for the inspection of the work. He will also inaugurate a super-specialty hospital at Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). These two projects will boost the healthcare facilities in North India,” said Gopal Ji Thakur, the BJP MP of Darbhanga.
The Union Health Ministry approved the AIIMS in Darbhanga in July this year, and the Bihar government has already handed over 150 acres of land for the purpose. At present, the landfilling activities are underway at the proposed site.
After the inauguration of the facility in DMCH, JP Nadda will proceed to Muzaffarpur and inaugurate another super-specialty hospital in Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH). These new healthcare facilities in Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur, with a combined investment of approximately Rs 400 crore, will significantly enhance healthcare options for patients in North Bihar and Nepal.
