Patna, July 31, 2025: Patna district administration has asked all coaching institutions to fulfil the safety guidelines.
Such a directive was issued during a meeting chaired by Patna district magistrate Dr Chandrashekher Singh. During the meeting majority of the coaching centre operators were present. However, the prominent educationist Khan Sir was notably absent from the meeting.
A team of Patna district administration, headed by SDM Sadar, went to the coaching institute of Khan Sir on Tuesday evening and inspected the various aspects, including the fire safety equipment, building byelaws, entry and exit gates and other measures.
The team identified some deficiencies in the institute of Khan Sir and accordingly asked him to take measures. He was also asked to present the registration papers of the institute, for which he requested a couple of days’ period to comply.
On Wednesday, Khan Sir’s GS coaching institute is closed, and a notice was also posted indicating that all classes will be suspended for the day.

On Wednesday, a large number of students who were not aware that the coaching centre was closed came on Wednesday to attend the classes. They returned to their respective homes and hostels after seeing the closure of the institute.

Following the action of the Patna district administration, the operators of the coaching institutes operating especially in the congested areas are feeling the heat. Patna district magistrate Dr Chandrashekher Singh ordered inspections of all coaching institutes operational in Patna. He had decided following the tragedy in the Rau’s IAS Coaching Circle located at Old Rajendra Nagar in New Delhi last week claimed three lives.
