Gurugram, June 29, 2026: Various government departments in Gurugram organized voter awareness activities under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program as part of the Special Summary Revision SSR-2026) campaign.
The initiatives aimed to encourage citizens to verify their voter details, update electoral records, and participate actively in the democratic process.
The awareness drives were conducted under the guidance of ADC and SVEEP Nodal Officer Sonu Bhatt, who emphasized the importance of ensuring the importance of ensuring that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral rolls.
Haryana Roadways conducts SVEEP awareness campaign:
The Haryana Roadways department in Gurugram organized voter awareness activities at bus stands and other public locations.
Passengers and members of the public were informed about the Special Summary Revision process and encouraged to verify their names in the voter list, update incorrect information, submit necessary forms within the prescribed time, and participate actively in the electoral process.
Officials explained the importance of maintaining accurate voter records to ensure smooth participation in elections.
The Agriculture Department conducted a voter awareness program in Farrukhnagar, where farmers and local residents were informed about the objectives of SSR-2026.
Participants were encouraged to ensure that their names are included in the voter list, update addresses and personal details, if necessary, fill out relevant forms for corrections or additions, and motivate other eligible citizens to participate in the campaign.

The department emphasized that accurate electoral rolls are essential for strengthening democratic participation.
The District Red Cross Society, Gurugram, also carried out awareness campaigns at several locations in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission.
Volunteers educated citizens about the objectives of the Special Summary revision, the process of voter list revision, the significance of voting in a democracy, and procedures for corrections, additions, and verification in electoral rolls.
The team also addressed questions raised by residents and helped clarify doubts related to voter registration and electoral procedures.
Special SVEEP program held in Jhundsarai:
At Jhundsarai, the Red Cross Society organized a dedicated awareness session for local residents.
The team provided detailed information regarding voter registration, electoral procedures, and the importance of participating in elections.
Officials explained the various steps involved in ensuring that eligible voters can cast their votes without any difficulties.

According to ADC and SVEEP Nodal Officer Sonu Bhatt, awareness activities are being continuously conducted throughout the district with the support of multiple departments.
The objective of the SVEEP campaign is to connect every eligible citizen with the voter list revision process and maximize participation in the democratic system.
The SSR-2026 campaign seeks to ensure that electoral rolls remain accurate, updated, and inclusive, thereby strengthening the electoral process and encouraging informed citizen participation in future elections.
