Patna, June 10, 2026: Bihar Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to 15 candidates selected for the post of Procurment0cum Distribution Officer PCDO in the Bihar State Warehousing Corporation (BSWC).

The ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department in Vikas Bhawan, Patna.

Officials described the recruitment drive as historic, noting that it marks the first regular recruitment conducted in the Corporation since 1958.

Congratulating the selected candidates, Ram Kripal Yadav said the induction of new personnel would strengthen the Corporation’s operational efficiency and improve the quality of services related to storage and distribution.

“This is not merely the distribution of appointment letters, but a golden moment in the history of the Corporation. The completion of the long-pending recruitment process reflects the government’s commitment to create opportunities for youth and ensure transparent administration,” he said.

Ram Kripal Yadav urged the newly appointed officers to perform their duties with honesty, discipline, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.

According to him, their contribution would play an important role in strengthening Bihar’s food security system in addition to carrying out routine administrative work.

Ram Kripal Yadav further stated that the recruitment initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He also praised the officers and staff of the Bihar State Warehousing Corporation for successfully completing the recruitment process in a transparent and impartial manner.

These appointments are not just about filling vacant posts; they mark the beginning of a new era of energy, confidence, and work culture within the Corporation,” he remarked.

Speaking at the event, Dharmendra Singh, the Secretary of the Cooperation Department, Bihar, stated that the Bihar State Warehousing Corporation fulfils critical storage-related requirements for agencies such as the Food Corporation of India (FCI), as well as the Agriculture and Health Departments.

He noted that continuous efforts are being made to improve the Corporation’s functioning and profitability.

He also indicated that additional recruitment drives would soon address staff shortages in the organization.

The Warehousing sector is rapidly evolving. Bihar requires expanded cold chain infrastructure and cold storage facilities, and efforts are underway to meet these future requirements,” he said.

More recruitment will come in a few weeks:

Dr. Gagan, Managing Director, Bihar State Warehousing Corporation, informed that the requirement process for 11 different categories of posts, including Assistant and Technical positions, is currently underway.

He added that appointment letters for the second phase of recruitment are expected to be distributed next month.

The Bihar State Warehousing Corporation is a joint public sector undertaking of the Central Warehousing Corporation and the Government of Bihar.

It operates under the Warehousing Act, 1962, and serves as the State Warehousing Agency notified by the Bihar government.

According to officials, the requirement process for the post of PCDO was initiated following a decision by the Board of Directors, considering the need for additional human resources and efficient maintenance of food grain stocks across the Corporation’s warehouses.

After obtaining all necessary administrative approvals, including roster clearance, the competitive examination was conducted through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Mumbai.

Officials emphasized that the entire recruitment process was completed with transparency and fairness.

Several senior officials attended the event, including Rajnish Kumar, Abhay Kumar Singh, and others.
