New Delhi, June 9, 2026: The Shikhar Dhawan Foundation (SDF), the philanthropic arm of Da One Group, has announced a major expansion of its flagship Digital Shiksha initiative across 10 government schools in Delhi.
Supported through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding from Human Mobile Device (HMD), the programme will be implemented over the next six months and is expected to benefit more than 20,000 students and over 800 educators.
Inspired by Shikhar Dhawan’s vision:
The initiative, guided by the vision of Arjuna Award-winning former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, builds upon Da One Group’s ongoing collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
The partnership aims to strengthen the integration of digital learning tools within government schools and create more inclusive, technology-enabled learning environments.
The latest expansion reflects the continued commitment of the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation and HMD to improve educational outcomes through accessible and future-ready digital infrastructure.
The initiative seeks to enhance classroom engagement while equipping both students and teachers with modern learning tools.

Speaking about the programme, Sophie Dhawan, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Da One Group, said that digital learning has become an essential component of modern education rather than an optional advantage.
She noted that the Digital Shiksha initiative has consistently focused on creating learning environments where technology meaningfully enhances classroom experiences for both students and educators.
According to her, the positive outcomes witnessed so far have encouraged the organization to scale the initiative further and contribute to the development of more inclusive and future-ready classrooms.
Anshita Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Da One Group, stated that the success of Digital Shiksha has reinforced the importance of building scalable digital learning models within public education systems.
She expressed satisfaction at renewing the partnership with HMD as the initiative expands to additional Delhi government schools, in line with the Directorate of Education’s efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure in educational institutions.
She emphasized that the programme remains focused on generating long-term educational benefits for students and teachers.
Ravi Kunwar, Chief Executive Officer and Vice President for India, APAC and ANZ at HMD, said the company was pleased to deepen its collaboration with the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation after witnessing the initiative’s impact.
He added that meaningful access to technology can play a transformative role in creating a future-ready learning environment and that the partnership reflects HMD’s commitment to delivering scalable and sustainable impact within public education.
Digital Shiksha aims to transform classrooms through the installation of interactive flat panels, HMD smart phones and licensed K-12 digital curriculum content.
These tools help create more engaging, interactive, and visual learning experiences while supporting teachers with structured digital resources.
The programme particularly enhances learning in subjects such as science, mathematics, and languages by making complex concepts easier to understand.
Digital Shiksha is operating in more than 25 schools:
Currently, Digital Shiksha is operational in more than 25 schools across India and has already impacted over 20,000 students.
The latest expansion in Delhi is expected to further strengthen the programme’s reach and effectiveness.

Founded in 2022 by Shikhar Dhawan, the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation works to improve access, opportunities, and quality of life for underserved communities.
The foundation operates across key sectors, including education, healthcare, hunger eradication, livelihood development and sports through long-term, scalable, and measurable interventions.
Its flagship programmes include Digital Shiksha, Youngistaan, and Livelihood on Wheels.
