Gurugram, May 26, 2026: Prof. Milap Punia, Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), paid an official visit to the MDU-Centre for Professional and Allied Studies (CPAS) in Gurugram to review the institution’s academic and administrative arrangements on Tuesday.
During his visit, Prof. Punia inspected the ongoing semester examination arrangements at the CPAS examination centre.
He directed officials to ensure that examinations are conducted smoothly, transparently, and with complete integrity.
Milap Punia inspected library facilities at CPAS:
The Vice-Chancellor also visited the CPAS library and reviewed its functioning.
He issued guidelines aimed at strengthening and modernizing the library system to improve academic support for students. Prof. Milap Punia interacted with students and sought their feedback regarding the functioning of CPAS.

Addressing the students, he advised them to set clear academic and career goals and pursue their studies with dedication.
He further encouraged students to focus on knowledge enhancement and skill development to remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving environment.
Meeting with faculty members:
During the tour, Milap Punia also held discussions with faculty members and sought feedback on the institute’s academic framework and overall functioning.
He urged teachers to actively contribute toward the academic growth of the Gurugram-based centre and invited suggestions for elevating the institution to higher standards of excellence.
Prof. Milap Punia called upon the faculty to work collectively toward transforming CPAS into a “centre of Excellence” and assured them of full support from the university administration.
Pradeep Ahlawat, the director of CPAS, welcomed the Vice-Chancellor and briefed him about the various courses currently being offered at the institute.

He stated that collective efforts would continue to ensure the growth and advancement of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor also inspected various infrastructural facilities across the CPAS campus and issued necessary directions for further improvement.
Faculty members and staff of the institute were present during the visit.
