Patna, May 25, 2026: Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit on Monday reviewed a high-level meeting to assess the progress of the ongoing Farmer registry campaign for beneficiaries of the PM-Kisan Scheme across Bihar.
During the meeting, Pratyaya Amrit conducted a detailed review of the statewide campaign being carried out in “Mission Mode” and issued several key directives to officials.
Pratyaya Amrit emphasized that the farmer registry is the government’s top priority:
The Chief Secretary emphasized that the Farmer Registry initiative is among the Bihar government’s highest priorities.
To accelerate the pace of enrollment, he instructed all District Magistrates to ensure that the number of Farmer registry entries reaches between 200,000 and 250,000 by the deadline of May 27, 2026.
During the review, Pratyaya Amrit expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress in several districts.
He issued strict instructions to districts such as Jamui, Saran, and Siwan to immediately streamline operations and significantly improve their performance.

To ensure the smooth implementation of the Agri Stack system, the Chief Secretary directed immediate action on pending matters related to the Department of Revenue and Land Reforms.
Officials were instructed to expedite geo-referencing of village maps for over 11,4000 remaining villages, API access for Revisional Survey Maps, and completion of data verification within the stipulated timeframe.
The administration also ordered faster physical and digital verification of 786,116 pending Farmer registry applications that remain stalled due to Low NMS (Network Measurement System) issues.
Current progress of the campaign:
Out of Bihar’s total 8.636 million PM-Kisan beneficiaries, farmer Registry enrollment has so far been completed for 4.97 million beneficiaries, accounting for 57.6 percent coverage.
Under the Mission Mode campaign launched on May 12, 2026, the state has recorded 196,929 new registrations to date. Among the top-performing districts in the campaign are Gopalganj—8,411 Farmer Registries, West Champaran—7,461 Farmer Registries, and East Champaran—6,539 Farmer Registries.
Meanwhile, districts requiring significant improvement include Jamui—1,339 Farmer Registries, Nawada—1,937 Farmer Registries, and Bhojpur—2,244 Farmer Registries.
In his concluding remarks, Pratyaya Amrit directed all departments and district administrations to work in close coordination and mission mode to achieve the prescribed targets within the stipulated deadline.
The Farmer Registry campaign is considered crucial for ensuring transparent delivery of benefits and strengthening digital agricultural governance across Bihar.
