Expanding the global reach of Indian Cinema through IMPPA:
Speaking about the initiative, Abhay Sinha emphasized that IMPPA is continuously working to provide a global platform for Indian filmmakers and directors.
He noted that showcasing Indian and regional cinema at an international stage like Cannes is a matter of pride for the country’s film industry.

According to him, the cultural diversity, emotionally rich storytelling, and social themes embedded in Indian films are increasingly resonating with global audiences.
As a result, Indian cinema is steadily expanding beyond domestic boundaries and gaining international traction.
Boost for regional film industries:
Producer Nishant Ujjawal highlighted that IMPPA’s efforts are playing a crucial role in securing global recognition for films across multiple Indian languages.
He pointed out that the association is actively promoting cinema in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, and other regional languages at Cannes this year.

Several Indian films are being screened and promoted at the festival, helping carve out a distinct identity for Indian cinema in the global market.
A growing global network:
IMPPA, with a membership base of around 23,000, has over 10,000 active members working across India and abroad.
The association has been consistently participating in international film festivals to strengthen the global footprint of the Indian film industry.

Industry observers believe that under Abhay Sinha’s leadership, IMPPA is playing a key role in shaping a new global identity for Indian cinema—particularly by bringing regional films into the international spotlight.
