Patna, May 15, 2026: Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit on Friday conducted a detailed review of the progress of the Agriculture Department’s ambitious initiatives—‘AgriStack’ and the Kisan Registry—aimed at digitally empowering farmers and streamlining their identification across the state.

During the meeting, officials highlighted that a target has been set to be registered, achieving 66.72% of the annual target.

Pratyaya Amrit reviews district-wise performance:

In terms of recent progress, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, and Vaishali districts recorded the highest number of registrations over the past two days (May 13-14), reflecting strong momentum in the operation.

When measured by registration intensity per 1,000 farmers, Vaishali (6.3), Aurangabad (6.2), and Kishanganj (6.0) emerged as top performers.

At the conclusion of the review, the Chief Secretary issued several important instructions to District Magistrates and concerned officials.

He directed them to expedite the verification process on a priority basis so that farmers can receive the benefits of government schemes without delay.

The revenue officers have been directed to dispose of all pending verification cases on a war footing and address the backlog of 40.55 lakh farmers whose e-KYC has been completed but whose registration is still pending, and ensure their enrollment at the earliest.

Pratyaya Amrit directed officials to strengthen coordination with the Department of Revenue and Land Reforms to improve geo-referenced village maps and update data for over 11,000 remaining villages.

Focus on direct benefit delivery:

Pratyaya Amrit emphasized that ensuring accurate identification and inclusion of farmers through ‘AgriStack’ is a top priority for the government.

He noted that the initiative will help eliminate the role of middlemen and ensure that benefits from government schemes reach farmers directly and transparently.
