BJP holds first manifesto drafting meeting for Haryana municipal elections in Gurugram.

Gurugram, April 18, 2026: The first meeting of the State Manifesto Drafting Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming municipal body elections was held at ‘Gurukamal,’ the party’s office in Gurugram.

The meeting was presided over by Haryana BJP State President Mohan Lal Badoli and attended by all five members of the manifesto committee. A detailed brainstorming session, lasting nearly two hours, was conducted to shape a manifesto that is both pro-people and development-oriented.

The meeting saw active participation from the Committee Chairman and Minister Vipul Goel, along with members including Surender Punia, Vedpal, Komal Saini, and Subhash Chandra.

Each member presented suggestions aimed at incorporating public aspirations and addressing key urban governance challenges.

Focus on the public-centric manifesto during the BJP’s meet:

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mohan Lal Badoli emphasized that the BJP’s manifesto is being crafted with a strong focus on the needs and expectations of the common people.

“The BJP has always believed in development-driven and transparent politics, and we will approach the people with the same commitment in the municipal elections,” he said.

He further added that key civic issues were discussed in detail, and a comprehensive review of the manifesto, along with candidate selection, will take place in the upcoming Election Committee meeting in Delhi.

Final candidates will be announced after approval from the central leadership.

Election scheduled & political assertion:

Badoli informed that municipal elections will be held across multiple locations in Haryana.

The Municipal Council/ Committee elections will be held in Rewari, Dharuhera, Kuklana, Sampla, and the Municipal Corporation elections in Panchkula, Sonipat, and Ambala.

With polling scheduled for May 10, he expressed confidence in a decisive BJP victory, asserting that party workers are fully prepared and energized.

Responding to a query, Badoli highlighted the Centre’s commitment to women’s empowerment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 He referred to the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s reservation Act0, aimed at ensuring 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies.

He said the Congress betrayed women’s trust and claimed there is widespread anger among women voters, which, according to him, will reflect in the upcoming elections.

Reiterating the BJP’s guiding principle of “sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” Badoli said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is delivering development and welfare programs.

He emphasized that the BJP’s strength lies in its dedicated cadre.

“The BJP is a party of its workers. Their hard work and commitment are the foundation of every electoral success,” he said.

Concluding his remarks, Badoli expressed strong confidence in the BJP’s prospects, stating that growing public trust and the party’s inclusive policies will ensure a clear victory in the upcoming municipal body elections.
