Patna, March 19, 2026: Bihar Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav on Thursday announced the event of a three-day ‘Bihar Nursery and Green-Tech Conclave 2026,’ scheduled from March 21 to 23 at Gyan Bhawan.
The event, being organized by the Horticulture Directorate of the Agriculture Department, is being described as Bihar’s first national-level conclave in the horticulture sector.
Centered on the theme ‘From Tradition to Progress,” the program aims to promote modernization in horticulture and nursery management across the state.
Ram Kripal Yadav said the participants will come from across the country:
Ram Kripal Yadav said the conclave will bring together leading nursery operators, growers from across the country, scientists from agricultural universities, and farmers and entrepreneurs associated with the horticulture sector.
Participants will share insights on innovations, research, and best practices to enhance productivity.
Highlighting its significance, Yadav said the event will help Bihar adopt advanced technologies and modern techniques being used nationwide, thereby improving the production and productivity of horticulture crops.

The conclave will feature exhibitions of premium plant materials, advanced nursery techniques, and innovations in both the national and the Bihar pavilions. Farmers will also gain access to high-quality planting materials through tissue culture and improved varieties, which are expected to boost yields.
Calling it a major step towards strengthening the rural economy, the minister emphasizes that a focus on climate-resilient and high-value horticulture crops could significantly increase farmers’ income while positioning Bihar as an emerging hub for agribusiness.
Special initiatives at the conclave:
Several special initiatives will also be part of the event, including a Horticulture School to train farmers and youth in modern techniques, Chanakya Horti Pitch, offering startups and entrepreneurs a platform to present ideas and attract investment, use, of QR codes and interactive kiosks for easy access to information about exhibits, and a green innovation awareness initiative aimed at educating children about environment and sustainability.
Yadav noted that horticulture has strong potential to generate employment for youth and women in the state.

He stressed the need to integrate traditional farming practices with modern technology to create new opportunities in rural areas.
The minister appealed to farmers, nursery operators, entrepreneurs, startups, and all stakeholders to participate in large numbers and benefit from the initiative.
