Patna, March 19, 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continued his ‘Samriddhi yatra’ (Prosperity Journey) with a visit to Munger and Lakhisarai, reaffirming his commitment to steering Bihar towards development and prosperity.

During his visit to Munger, the Chief Minister fulfilled several commitments made to the people by laying the foundation stones for 26 projects and inaugurating 52 completed schemes, dedicating them to the residents of Munger.

He also inspected stalls set up by various government departments, interacted directly with beneficiaries, and distributed cheques.

Addressing a large gathering at a ‘Jan Samvad’ (Public Dialogue) program held at the Airport Ground, Nitish Kumar urged people to work collectively towards achieving the vision of a ‘Developed Bihar.”

Emphasizing attentiveness during his speech, he remarked, “Do not let your attention wander…listen carefully, as it is important for you to understand these details.”

Nitish Kumar also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of projects in Lakhisarai:

Following his Munger visit, the Chief Minister proceeded to Lakhisarai as part of the ongoing yatra.

In Lakhisarai, he reviewed key development initiatives, including inspecting a 3D model of the Kajra Solar Power Plant and visiting its control room.

He also examined departmental stalls, interacted with beneficiaries, and distributed financial assistance.

The Chief Minister appreciated the cultural performances presented by school children during the event.

Marking a major push for development in the district, Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stones for 144 projects and inaugurated 117 completed schemes using remote technology.

Nitish Kumar vowed for the holistic development of Lakhisarai:

Addressing another ‘Jan Samvad’ program, he reiterated his government’s commitment to the holistic development of Lakhisarai and called upon citizens to unite in building a “Viksit Bihar.”

The event was attended by several prominent leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Minister Sunil Kumar, and Suryagarha MLA Ramanand Mandal.

The fourth phase of Samriddhi Yatra started from Bhagalpur on March 17 and has covered Banka, Jamui, and Nawada districts so far.
