Bharat Parv-2026: French visitor experiences Jharkhand’s rich culinary heritage.

New Delhi, January 28, 2026: Bharat Parv-2026 continues to serve as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, offering visitors a glimpse into India’s diverse traditions.

In a memorable moment during the festival, a visitor from France experienced the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Jharkhand for the first time, expressing deep appreciation for the state’s traditions showcased under the aegis of Jharkhand Tourism.

During the visit, the French guest interacted with students from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Ranchi, who presented authentic Jharkhand cuisine as part of a special culinary exhibition.

Traditional delicacies such as Dhuska and Aloo Chana were prepared with finesse by the students under the expert guidance of Chef Hare Krishna Choudhary.

The visitor particularly praised the taste, simplicity, and uniqueness of the dishes, noting their strong connection to local culture, indigenous ingredients, and sustainable food practices.

Showcasing culture through cuisine in Bharat Parv 2026:

Chef Hare Krishna Choudhary briefed visitors on the nutritional value, cultural significance, and heritage of Jharkhandi cuisine, explaining how traditional cooking methods and locally sourced ingredients reflect the region’s identity and lifestyle.

He also highlighted the proactive role of the Ministry of Tourism in promoting India’s diverse cuisines and cultures through national platforms such as Bharat Parv, strengthening cultural diplomacy and tourism outreach.

Leadership in millet promotion:

Chef Choudhary also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, Principal, IHM Ranchi, for his remarkable efforts in promoting millets as a sustainable and nutritious food option.

Under Dr. Kumar’s guidance, IHM Ranchi has earned national recognition, including an entry in the India Book of Records, for its initiatives aligned with the National Mission on Millets.

The visit reaffirmed how culinary heritage acts as a powerful medium for global cultural connection.

Appreciation from an international visitor highlighted the importance of showcasing regional Indian cuisines on national platforms like Bharat Parv, while also recognizing the academic and cultural contributions of institutions such as IHM Ranchi in preserving and promoting India’s rich gastronomic legacy.

As part of the Republic Day celebrations, the six-day national cultural and tourism festival Bharat Parv-2026 is being organized from January 26 to 31, 2026, at the lawns of the Red Fort and Gyan Path, New Delhi.
