CM Nitish Kumar launches major development push in Muzaffarpur under Samriddhi Yatra.

Patna, January 23, 2026: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday laid the foundation stone for 89 development projects, inaugurated 46 projects, and launched work on 36 projects in Muzaffarpur as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra.

The Chief Minister reached Muzaffarpur on Friday morning and participated in a public dialogue program, where he interacted with Jeevika Didis, beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, and local villagers.

Nitish Kumar highlighted the government’s schemes:

During the interaction, Nitish Kumar highlighted the achievements of his government and presented the future development roadmap for Bihar.

Following the program, Nitish Kumar visited stalls set up by different departments at the venue and reviewed the progress of ongoing development works in the district.

He directed officials to expedite construction activities and ensure time-bound completion of all projects.

Nitish Kumar inspected ongoing projects:

Kumar, on the seventh day of the Samriddhi Yatra, also inspected the widening work of Chandni Chowk to Barkhi path and reviewed the progress of the Road Over Bridge (ROB) construction in Muzaffarpur.

He issued necessary instructions to the concerned departments for speedy execution.

The Chief Minister further inaugurated the construction and renovation works at the premises of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), Muzaffarpur.

On the occasion, Nitish Kumar also distributed cheques to selected beneficiaries under various government schemes.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resource Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, along with senior state government officials and other dignitaries.   

The Samriddhi Yatra has so far covered West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Saran and Siwan, with the government inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects worth thousands of crores across these districts.

The Yatra began from West Champaran on January 16, will continue till January 24 in the first phase. Nitish Kumar will visit the Vaishali district on January 24.
