Nitish Kumar announce to form three departments to fulfil his poll promise of 1 crore jobs.

Patna, December 5, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reiterated his election promise of creating 1 crore jobs over the next five years and announced the formation of three new departments to meet the ambitious target.

In a detailed post on his official X handle, Nitish Kumar said the state government has set a target to provide employment and job opportunities to 1 crore youth between 2025 and 2030.

“To achieve this, large-scale skill training, along with access to quality higher and technical education, is essential. Intensive monitoring will also be crucial,” Kumar wrote.

Nitish Kumar’s job creation plan:

To achieve the plan, the Chief Minister announced the formation of three new departments, including the Departments of Youth, Employment and Skill Development. Nitish Kumar said this department will focus on creating employment opportunities through various schemes over the next five years.

“Through this department, we aim to provide job opportunities to a large number of youth,” he said.

Department of Higher Education will work on improving higher education standards, promoting research and innovation, expanding technical and vocational education, and ensuring that students from all sections of society receive quality education.

Department of Civil Aviation, Kumar highlighted that several new airports are currently under construction in Bihar, with more proposed under the UDAN scheme.

“A separate Civil Aviation Department will accelerate progress, improve the industrial environment, create new jobs, and ease the export of products manufactured in the state,” he said.

New directorate and corporation to support employment:

Along with the new departments, CM Nitish Kumar also announced that a separate Directorate of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) mega skill centres will be established in every district to develop skills related to MSMEs so that youth can access maximum employment opportunities,” he said.

CM Nitish Kumar said that this corporation will strengthen the availability, quality, and distribution of products related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, food processing, handicrafts, rural industries, and small and cottage industries.

This will generate large-scale employment for youth,” he said.

Nitish Kumar reiterated that the government is dedicated to ensuring a bright future for Bihar’s youth.

“We are committed to providing government jobs and employment to as many youth as possible. Our goal is to make the youth of Bihar skilled, self-reliant, and secure their future,” he said.
