Ram Kripal Yadav assumed office of the Agriculture ministry; doubling or tripling farmers’ income is his priority.

Patna, November 25, 2025: Newly elected MLA from Danapur, Ram Kripal Yadav, on Tuesday, officially took charge of the Agriculture department in Patna.

He was warmly welcomed by department officials, and the atmosphere during the ceremony reflected a sense of commitment and a performance-oriented work culture.

In his first address after assuming office, Ram Kripal Yadav said the Agriculture department is not merely a ministry for him, but the backbone of the Bihar economy.

He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the party leadership for entrusting him with what he described as a huge and sacred responsibility.

Yadav stressed that agriculture plays a foundational role in Bihar’s economic structure and that the welfare and progress of farmers determine the state’s overall development.

“Increasing farmers’ productivity, raising farm yields, and doubling or tripling their income is our top priority,” he said.

Ram Kripal Yadav vowed to accelerate centre and state schemes:

Yadav highlighted several central and state government schemes that he aims to accelerate, adding that the Prime Minister’s vision clearly states that strong farmers are essential for a prosperous India.

According to him, agricultural development is a prerequisite for Bihar’s growth.

Ram Kripal Yadav also underscores the importance of a corruption-free work culture, assuring that trust, coordination, and transparency will be the guiding principles of the department.

Citing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s belief that farmers are the embodiment of god, he reiterated that farmer prosperity remains the government’s highest commitment.

With new responsibilities, new resolutions, and a renewed promise of prosperity in the fields, Ram Kripal Yadav said the Agriculture Ministry is entering a new era marked by speed, efficiency, and courtesy.

Vijay Kumar Choudhary assumes charge as IPRD Minister:

On the same day, Information and Public Relations Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary assumed charge of his department.

Speaking to media persons, he said the IPRD will strive to make government communication more effective, transparent, and people-centric.

He added that ensuring timely and accurate information reaches the general public will remain a key priority.
