Jan Suraaj Party dissolved its state organization after a poor performance in the 2025 assembly polls.

Patna, November 22, 2025: After its poor performance in the Bihar Assembly elections, the Jan Suraaj Party has dissolved its organization from the Panchayat level up to the state level with immediate effect.

The party will rebuild the entire structure over the next one and a half months.

In the presence of party convener Prashant Kishor, Jan Suraaj Party spokesperson Syed Masihuddin announced that the decision was taken at the Jan Suraaj National Council meeting held on Saturday at the Sheikhpura House in Patna.

In the absence of the National President, Uday Singh, the meeting was chaired by State President Manoj Bharti.

According to the decision, the dissolved committee will continue to function until the new organization is formed.

Jan Suraaj Party’s reorganization plan and responsibilities:

The party has assigned senior leaders the responsibility of overseeing all 12 divisions of the state.

These leaders have been tasked with building a new, effective and functional organizational structure in their respective districts.

This team will also hold detailed discussions to identify the reasons behind the party’s electoral defeat.

They will submit a report to the leadership highlighting the individual responsible for indiscipline and internal sabotage.

Masihuddin informed that a meeting of the party’s General Council has been scheduled in Patna on December 21.

At this meeting, the top leadership will hear district-level leaders’ assessments of the election and organizational challenges, and will discuss charting a fresh strategy for the future.

Poor performance in recent elections:

Assembly elections independently, without allying with any political party, but failed to win even a single seat.

Following the defeat, party Jan Suraaj Party’s convener, Prashant Kishor, has said he will restart the party’s outreach program across Bihar in preparation for future electoral battles.

Several senior figures attended the meeting, including former Vice Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. S.K. Singh, former Union Minister RCP Singh, senior advocate Y.V. Giri, and former IAS officers Arvind Singh, N.P. Mandal and several other senior leaders.
