Patna, July 27, 2026: With campaigning for the Bankipur Assembly by-election entering its final phase, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on Monday conducted a massive roadshow in support of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Rekha Gupta.

During the campaign, he appealed to voters to support the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) candidate in the July 30 by-election.

Tejashwi Yadav’s roadshow covers key areas of the constituency:

Tejashwi Yadav’s roadshow began from the party’s election office in Mithapur and passed through several prominent localities, including Chandpur Bela, Sipra, Postal Park, Chiraiyatand, Goriyatoli, Pirmuhani, and Lohanipur.

 A large number of RJD leaders, workers, and supporters accompanied the convoy throughout the route.

Tejashwi Yadav greeted residents, interacted with supporters, and sought votes for Rekha Gupta.

The roadshow later moved through Sahitya Sammelan, Dariyapur, Khetan Market, and Birla Mandir before concluding at Sabzibagh Crossing in the evening.

The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from RJD workers and supporters, who raised slogans in favour of the party and its candidate.

Party leaders also carried out extensive public outreach during the roadshow, seeking to consolidate support for the Mahagathbandhan ahead of polling.

Second roadshow scheduled:

As part of its final campaign push, the RJD has announced another roadshow led by Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday, July 28. The second roadshow is scheduled to begin from Old Hartali Mor and will pass through Boring Road, Rajapur Pul, Police Line Crossing, Lodipur, China Kothi, Income Tax Golambar, and Kidwaipuri, before concluding near the Chakram Devi Temple.

With campaigning set to end shortly before voting, Tejashwi Yadav’s consecutive roadshows are being viewed as a key component of the RJD’s strategy to mobilize voters in the prestigious Bankipur constituency.

The party is making an intensive outreach effort in the closing days of the campaign, aiming to maximize voter engagement and garner support for its candidate ahead of polling on July 30.
