Gurugram, June 3, 2026: In view of the Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026, Yogesh Chandra Munjal, Managing Director of Munjal Showa, stated that it has the potential to establish Haryana as a major centre for high-tech manufacturing and electric vehicle (EV) production while reducing India’s dependence on imported critical industrial components and materials.

Yogesh Chandra Munjal emphasized strategic and high-growth sectors:

Munjal noted that the policy prioritizes key sectors such as rare earth material processing, components manufacturing, electronics, electric vehicles, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

According to him, the emphasis on these industries is particularly important at a time when a substantial portion of the global rare earth supply chain remains concentrated in China.

He said Haryana’s initiative to encourage domestic processing capabilities and the production of high-performance industrial components could contribute significantly to India’s self-reliance objectives.

Yogesh Chandra Munjal described the policy as a forward-looking framework designed to strengthen indigenous manufacturing capabilities and support the broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Gurugram-Manesar region poised for growth:

Highlighting the potential impact of the policy on the state’s industrial ecosystem, Yogesh Chandra Munjal said the development of a strong supply-chain network in the Gurugram-Manesar industrial belt would attract fresh investments and generate substantial employment opportunities.

He observed that the region already possesses a strong manufacturing base and that the policy could accelerate its transformation into one of India’s leading hubs for electric vehicle production and advanced manufacturing.

The creation of a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, he said, would enhance competitiveness, improve supply-chain resilience, and encourage greater participation by domestic and industrial investors.

Yogesh Chandra Munjal also commended the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh for introducing the policy.

He described the initiative as a strategic effort to attract investment, strengthen industrial infrastructure, and promote innovation across key sectors of the economy.

According to him, the policy creates a conducive environment for industrial expansion by focusing on future-oriented industries and technological advancement.

Vision for global industrial competitiveness:

Expressing optimism about Haryana’s industrial future, Yogesh Chandra Munjal said the state’s continued focus on manufacturing growth, technology adoption, and infrastructure development would help it secure a stronger position on the global industrial landscape.

He added that sustained policy support for advanced manufacturing sectors could enable Haryana to emerge as a preferred destination for high-value investments and innovation-driven industries in the years ahead.

Industry stakeholders view the Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026 as a key component of the state’s efforts to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, generate employment, and enhance its role in India’s evolving industrial economy.
