LJPR announced the names of candidates for Lok Sabha poll 2024.

Patna: Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPR) announced the names of the candidates for the Lok Sabha election 2024 on Saturday.
LJPR has given the ticket to Rajesh Verma to contest from Khagaria, Veena Devi to contest from Vaishali and Shambhavi Choudhary to contest from Samastipur (SC Reserved) seat. Party has already announced the name of Chirag Paswan to contest from Hajipur (SC Reserved) and his brother-in-law Arun Bharti to contest from Jamui (SC Reserved) Lok Sabha constituency. Arun Bharti had already filed the nomination on March 28.
Rajesh Verma will contest on the ticket of LJPR from Khagaria seat. He is a native of Bhagalpur district and was also a district president of LJP in the past. He also stayed on the post of deputy mayor of Bhagalpur.
Veena Devi was elected on the ticket of LJP in 2019. When Pashupati Kumar Paras broke the party and formed Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), she went with him. However, in the last one year, she supported Chirag Paswan led LJPR. Veena Devi started her political career in the 2010 assembly election. She won that election from Gaighat assembly constituency in Muzaffarpur. Her husband Dinesh Singh is a MLC of JD-U.
Shambhavi Choudhary is contesting from Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency. She is a daughter of Ashok Choudhary, a cabinet minister of Bihar government and he is very close to CM Nitish Kumar. Sources have said that Ashok Choudhary has made an effort to get a ticket for his daughter.
Meanwhile, Pashupati Kumar Paras, the national president of RLJP has decided to stay in NDA. He also announced to support his nephew Chirag Paswan in this election.
