Patna July 14: Union Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Jitan Ram Manjhi claimed guests who came to the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani,  Mukesh Ambani’s son were wearing awkward dresses and hence he did not go there.

Jitan Ram Manjhi’s controversial reaction: Jitan Ram Manjhi reacted to a question asked by a media person about the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Marchant.

“We are from a small background of the village. The people present there were wearing awkward dress and their bodies were visible. In such a situation, how could I take my wife, daughter and daughter-in-law there? Hence, we did not go there,” Manjhi said while speaking to the media persons in Jahanabad, Bihar.

He further said: “As we would not be able to settle in that richness and grandeur, that is why we did not go there. That wedding is only and only a display of money. That was not a wedding but a display of money.”

“The country’s biggest industrialist Mukesh Ambani had invited me to the wedding and I have sent the return gift with best wishes to the bride and groom,” Manjhi said.

Royal wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Marchant: The royal wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son was held on July 12 at Jio World Center in Mumbai. Many VVIPs from across the world attended that wedding ceremony.

On July 13, the Ambani family organized a special event Shubh Ashirwad to bless the bride and groom which PM Narendra Modi also attended and blessed the bride and groom. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani welcomed PM Modi. The reception party was held on Sunday (July 14).

On July 13, many VVIPs including Bollywood, Hollywood celebs, politicians, storytellers, religious leaders and industrialists came to bless Anant Ambani and Radhika Marchant at the Shubh Ashirwad function. PM Modi blessed bride and groom by attending the function.

On seeing PM Modi, all the people present there stood up and started welcoming him with applause. After which the bride and groom took blessings by touching PM Modi’s feet.

Many VVIPs including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan, MS Dhoni, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Dhirendra Shastri, Sania Mirza, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Ajay Devgan, Mary Kom, Rashmika Mandana, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pawan Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Kamal Nath, Baba Ramdev, Swami Avimukteshwarananda, Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members, Chirag Paswan with mother Reena Paswan, former President Ram Nath Kovind, Rajinikanth, Chandrababu Naidu, Shah Rukh Khan, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, Kapil Sibal, Pawan Kalyan, Vivek Tankha, DK Shivakumar, Dimple Yadav along with Akhilesh Yadav were present in this function.

Jitan Ram Manjhi has a history of making controversial remarks: Jitan Ram Manjhi is known for his simplicity in Bihar and at the same time, he also made many controversial statements in the past. He made controversial statements on Lord Ram, Ramcharitmanas, Ramayan, Brahmins and Hindu religion.

He also said that the character of Ravan was greater than Lord Ram.

On March 17, 2023, Jitan Ram Manjhi said that Lord Ram and Ravan are imaginary characters in Ramcharitmanas and Ramayan but wherever the writers presented about these two on the basis of imagination in these two books, Ravan has an edge over Lord Ram. When Lord Ram was in trouble, some divine forces always helped him but it was not the case with Ravan. Hence, Ravan has a greater character than Lord Ram.   

He further said that Ramayan was written by Valmiki and hence no one worships him and Ramcharitmanas was written by Goswami Tulsi Das and hence everyone worships him.
