Jan Suraj’s leader said ruling and opposition leaders are doing petty politics on day 3 of PK’s hunger strike.

Patna January 4, 2025: With opposition and ruling leaders are criticizing his use of a luxurious vanity van at the protest site, Vivek Kumar, spokesperson for the Jan Suraj party, dismissed these criticisms as distractions aimed at deflecting attention from the core issues of the students, such as the leaked examination papers and alleged mismanagement by the BPSC.

Jan Suraj leader said the ruling and opposition are doing petty politics:

He clarified that the vanity van parked at Gandhi Maidan was being used as a washroom facility for those participating in the hunger strike.

“The opposition leaders focus on the vanity of their petty politics and a deliberate attempt to divert from the government’s failure to address the students’ grievances,” Kumar said.

“I want to challenge leaders, including Tejashwi Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and BJP leaders, to spend a night under the Gandhi statue in Gandhi Maidan to understand the students’ plight amid the harsh cold,” the Jan Suraj leader said.

He emphasized that Prashant Kishor has been continuously present at the site in front of media persons and their cameras.

Criticism from Political Rivals:

Neeraj Kumar, JD(U) spokesperson, accused Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishor of hypocrisy, pointing out that while he criticizes the government, he uses a vanity van reportedly worth crores of rupees and bans questions about it.

Neeraj highlighted the success stories of candidates like Upkar Kumar, the son of an Anganwadi worker who topped the 69th  BPSC examination to become a DSP, as evidence of the government’s support for merit.

“Prashant Kishor is insulting the youth’s talent and exposing his political opportunism,” Neeraj Kumar said.

BJP leader Nikhil Anand questioned the funding for the luxurious van, claiming it costs Rs.4 crores.

He criticized Kishor for allegedly staging a “drama” by sitting on a Dharna for poor students while using lavish resources.

Hunger Strike and Protest Continuation:

Meanwhile, the protest led by Kishor has entered its third day, with students continuing to demand transparency and action on alleged irregularities in the BPSC exams.

Protestors have raised slogans against the Bihar police and the state government, condemning the use of force to suppress their peaceful demonstrations.
