Bihar BJP is speeding up its preparation to lure voters ahead of the assembly election 2025.

Patna November 22, 2024: The Bihar BJP intensifies its preparations for the 2025 assembly elections, following a core group meeting in New Delhi that laid out key strategies for the months ahead.

According to Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, the party has finalized its agenda for next year and is simultaneously conducting its Organizational Maha Parv, a periodic restructuring process that will conclude in December.

Jaiswal emphasized that the formation of new committees, from the booth level, will begin after December, ensuring the party is organizationally robust ahead of the elections.

“The meeting focused on formulating strategies tailored to the 2025 Assembly elections, ensuring alignment with both national and regional political dynamics,” Jaiswal said while interacting with the media persons in New Delhi.

“We have deliberated on programs and initiatives to be executed over the next six months,” Jaiswal said.

Bihar BJP’s Strategic and Political Context:

The timing of this meeting coincides with the announcement of election results in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, underscoring its significance as the BJP gears up to assess its strengths and challenges across states.

Alongside election planning, the BJP reportedly deliberated on its alliance with the JD(U), which has experienced tension over controversial remarks by BJP leaders.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s comment on the JMM government to allegedly transforming Ranchi to Karachi drew sharp criticism from JD(U) leaders, who have distanced themselves from such statements.

Bihar Rural Work Minister Ashok Chaudhary clarified that neither he nor JD(U) support such a statement.

MLC Neeraj Kumar also reaffirmed the party’s disassociation from Singh’s Hindu Swabhiman Yatra and its agenda as well.

Implication for the Bihar BJP-JD(U) Alliance:

This friction within the alliance highlights the ideological differences between the BJP and JD(U).

While the BJP has leaned heavily on nationalist and Hindutva narratives, JD(U) leaders have avoided endorsing these themes, focusing instead on governance and developmental priorities. The challenge for both parties will be maintaining a cohesive front in the face of such differences as they head into the 2025 elections.

Next steps for the Bihar BJP:

The BJP appears to be focused on consolidating its organizational structure and setting a clear agenda to energize its base across Bihar.

The party will likely continue to navigate its alliance with JD(U) carefully, balancing its ideological priorities with the need to maintain the coalition.

With the electoral results in Maharashtra and Jharkhand likely to influence strategies further, the BJP’s approach to Bihar’s assembly elections will evolve in the coming months.
